2007 Audience Prize - Albero String Quartet
The 2007 Saint Paul String Quartet Competition featured seven outstanding young quartets. Our Gold Medal winners were the members of the remarkable Ridere' Quartet from Chicago. Along with their Gold Medal, they received $1000 and a set of four handmade Anderson Music Stands. Second place and $600 went to the superb Zeloso String Quartet. Third place and $400 was awarded to OPUS, from Columbus Ohio. The Albero Quartet was nominated for the Audience Prize of $200.
Other 2007 Finalists
The finalists were from all across the Midwest and represented the finest music programs in the United States. Those in attendance on Friday the 27th were rewarded with some extraordinary chamber music performances. The audience consisted of enthusiastic family, friends, and supporters.
